Hiroshi Yoshida

Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950), made a noteable contribution in the history of Japanese modern prints.  He developed a new approach to woodblock printing, sometimes incorporating zinc plates to achieve intricate delicate lines. He was first a western style painter, traveled the world earning an outstanding reputation. His wife Fuijio, was and artist and his sons Toshi and Hodaka are both accomplished artists.
